Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The employee will register the patient into the hospital computer system, obtaining all pertinent demographic and financial information accurately.  The employee will also complete any paperwork associated with the registration process obtaining patient signatures on the consent, Notice of Privacy Practice acknowledgement and Your Rights as a Patient acknowledgement.  The employee will also complete any telephone duties associated with the registration process. 

-Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

-Proficiency with computers including Word/Excel

-Knowledge and previous experience with insurance verification.

-Previous experience working in the medical field preferred.

-Strong computer skills; knowledge/experience with the hospital registration system.

-Experience with web-based insurance verification systems required.

-Has working knowledge of Medicaid programs including Medicaid managed care plans

-Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with patients, family members, and co-workers alike.

-Works well under pressure.

-Preferred bilingual (Spanish)

  • Required Experience:

    -Ability to use a computer or have typing skills required

    - A minimum of one year experience in the medical field preferred

    - Required knowledge of insurance plans. 

    - Must have excellent communication skills and effectively follow all policies and procedures. 
    -
    Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.

    -Two years’ experience in Patient Access Department, physician’s office, clinic or healthcare business office.

    Tuesday-Friday 10a-6; Sa 9-5

    Salary Range: $28.860/hr - $30.302/hr
