SGA Dental is seeking a Director of Enterprise Patient Management System to lead and support the implementation of a new patient management system (PMS). This system will replace the existing enterprise PMS solution and will become SGA’s standard platform for future conversions. This leader will oversee a small team of implementers responsible for building and deploying the new enterprise PMS configuration across SGA locations. The Director will collaborate closely with PMS and consulting vendors, along with internal subject matter experts, to design, test, and refine a system that supports clinical, operational, and financial excellence across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:  

  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with SGA subject matter experts across operations, finance, RCM, and clinical functions.

  • Lead implementation planning, ensuring efficient, effective, and standardized configurations for initial and subsequent rollouts.

  • Develop and deliver internal training programs tailored to upcoming implementation phases.

  • Provide on-site and virtual support during implementation to ensure smooth adoption and issue resolution.

  • Create, manage, and monitor critical checklists for pre-, during-, and post-implementation success.

  • Leverage existing BI and performance reporting to:

    • Measure where the enterprise PMS improves or challenges current performance.

    • Build data-driven value propositions to guide prioritization of future clinic conversions.

  • Drive change management across teams, fostering engagement, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout rollout phases.

  • Mentor team members and emerging leaders across SGA to expand organizational expertise in the new system.

 Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in dental or healthcare operations, including revenue cycle management (RCM), reporting, finance, and patient or appointment management systems, ideally with Denticon.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-site technology or process implementation projects.

  • Ability to lead practice teams through significant change, generating excitement and commitment to adoption.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into effective technology and process solutions.

  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills to develop implementation staff and cross-functional partners.

  • Experience restructuring workflows and operational processes to align with new system capabilities.

  • Willing to travel regionally (~75%) to provide direct implementation and leadership support.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze system performance and operational impact.

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are consistently met.

  • High degree of initiative, accountability, and adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PMS software, and other enterprise systems.

  • Deep understanding of change management, relationship-building, and provider engagement strategies.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong external vendor partnerships.

 Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Additional certification or coursework in project management, healthcare systems implementation, or dental technology strongly desired.

  • Experience with Denticon PMS a strong preference.

Physical / Environmental Requirements 

  • Hybrid work environment; must be geographically located within 200 miles of Albany, GA.

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

  • Comfortable using Teams and other videoconferencing solutions.

  • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly with staff and patients both virtually and in person.

  • Must be able to read computer screens, memos, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.

  • Requires high manual dexterity and the ability to perform tasks that include bending, standing, sitting, reaching, and light physical activity as part of on-site support.
