Position Summary:
The Graduate Admissions team at Campbellsville University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Assistant (GA) to support the growing demands of student recruitment, personalized communication, event coordination, and other various tasks. This role will play a pivotal part in advancing CU’s enrollment goals by engaging with prospective students, families, and schools while supporting the logistical and operational needs of the admissions team.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support
- Assist in coordinating and hosting campus visits, including individual and group tours, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for prospective students and their families.
- Participate in recruitment travel to high-yield counties and mid-level activity regions, supporting events such as FAFSA Days, presentations, and college fairs.
- Represent CU at recruitment events, engaging with school counselors, students, and families to build strong relationships and promote CU programs.
Event Coordination
- Help plan and execute high-impact recruitment events, ensuring smooth logistics and effective communication with attendees.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to schedule, manage, and follow up on visits and events in key recruitment areas.
Personalized Communication
- Assist with ongoing communication efforts, including:
- Sending individualized texts, emails, and follow-ups to prospective students and families.
- Conducting outreach through phone calls to maintain student interest and answer inquiries.
- Coordinating mass communications, such as weekly text campaigns and event reminders.
- Work with the team to develop tailored strategies for engaging students from high-yield and high-conversion regions.
Data Management and Analysis
- Track recruitment data to identify trends and opportunities for targeted outreach.
- Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions, visits, and event attendance to support the admissions team’s decision-making process.
Team Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between admissions and other departments, including athletics, financial aid, and academic programs, to ensure prospective students receive comprehensive support.
- Support communication efforts with counselors and coaches to strengthen CU’s recruitment network.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a graduate program at Campbellsville University.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for recruitment events and work occasional evenings or weekends.
- Prior experience in event coordination, admissions, or customer service is a plus.
Work Schedule and Commitment:
- Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility for event schedules.
- Some travel and evening/weekend work may be required.
