SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
A Production Manager oversees and manages the process of producing goods or services, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely completion. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the production process, from raw materials to finished products. The Production Manager will oversee the plant supervisors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing production schedules, setting targets, and allocating resources to meet production goals.
Evaluating production performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
Ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.
Managing and allocating resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize production.
Identifying and resolving production issues, such as equipment malfunctions, delays, or quality problems.
Communicating with various departments, such as sales, engineering, and accounting, to ensure smooth operations.
Managing production costs, ensuring that projects stay within budget, and reporting on spending.
Ensuring that production processes adhere to safety regulations and standards.
