The Miami Garden is currently seeking an experienced Lead Driver with distribution management experience.  The new Lead Driver will assist in the successful execution of these routes along with other related business operations in partnership with the Distribution Manager.

The lead driver is responsible for assisting distribution employees operate safely through action and accountability, maintaining positive and professional relationships with drivers, customer service managers, production department, and maintaining business relationships with our customers.

Lead Responsibilities:

• Reliable, responsible, professional, and honest.

• Possess a good understanding and familiarity of all routes. Accurately maintain routes for operational excellence.
• Ability to see the strengths of drivers and areas of opportunity.
• Ensure employee’s compliance with policies including pre/post-trip and safety training.
• Maintain positive business relationships with plant management and team members.
• Quick and professional responses to all service needs, mis deliveries and/or complaints.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, new hire training, and ride-along evaluations.
• Enforce all company policies and procedures.

Distribution Previous Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of assistant management or direct management experience preferred.

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have 12 months of commercial driving experience in the last 3 years. A CDL Class B or A is required and must be able to position 53’ trailers to dock or be trained to move trailers on yard within 30 days.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must have a clean driving record.
