Preferences:
- Specialization in federal government contracts law while in law school and/or as a substantial part of legal career or contract management career.
- Knowledge of both the federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (48 CFR).
- Experience providing legal advice related to NIH and other federal regulations related to research and scholarly misconduct.
- Knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) as it relates to the provision of healthcare services by universities unassociated with a hospital system.
- Experience providing legal advice related to healthcare operations and associated regulations.
- Knowledge of the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Working knowledge of intellectual property law.
- Working knowledge of state and/or federal government procurements.
- Working knowledge of relevant Maryland laws, policies, and processes.
- Prior legal experience supporting a research-intensive public university.
