Salary: $20.35 hourly
Basic Function and Responsibility:
Maintain security of a juvenile detention facility by visual observation and physical control of entrances and exits in order to ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
Appointing Authority and Supervision Received:
The deputy court administrator of family court is the appointing authority. The control room clerk receives direct supervision by the facility supervisor assigned to the unit.

Job Environment:
Minimum Qualifications: (Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis, provided a high school diploma or GED has been obtained.)
High school graduate or equivalent plus one year of experience in law enforcement, corrections, or security-related field is preferred. Some work experience involving personal computer operation.
Necessary Special Requirement:
Minimum age requirement is 25 years old.
Applicants for this position are subject to certification requirements for access to law enforcement databases, which includes fingerprinting for criminal records checks on a federal, state, and local level.
