Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is seeking a therapeutic medical physicist to support clinical physics coverage at the Hall Perrine Cancer Center. The Hall Perrine Cancer Center embraces its long history of progressive cancer care in a supportive environment for both patients and staff. The Hall Radiation Center is a best-in-class environment with two Varian accelerators (TrueBeam and a Trilogy that will be replaced next year), a Tomotherapy system, Elekta HDR platform, RayStation treatment planning, and a Siemens GoOpenPro CT simulator. The RV system is Elekta Mosaiq and treatment types include 3D, IMRT, SRT/SBRT, IGRT and HDR. We are seeking a physicist to join our experienced team of two radiation oncologists, two certified dosimetrists, and partner with a board-certified medical physicist. Newly graduated residents or graduating residents are welcome to apply. In addition to routine medical physics coverage, the Hall Radiation Center medical physics team is actively involved in project management, clinical program development, quality improvement, and reports to the Cancer Center Director. Mercy Medical Center is a standalone organization and with no satellite clinics to cover. The department is fully staffed with minimal turnover and an outstanding team culture.
