Job duties
Provide exceptional guest service and carries out daily duties in accordance Standards
Prepare rooms and tables for events (table, linen, silverware, glassware, food area) Standards. Includes cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
Ensures that meeting rooms are clean and maintained
Maintain interdepartmental relations with the kitchen, sales, and housekeeping departments ensuring all requirements are met.
Greet, host and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner
Ability to set up, break down materials, transport supplies, stock bars and action stations, or anything in between, in order to make event run flawlessly
Use safety at work place, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards.
Ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
Able to be on your feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance).
Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned
High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Knowledge of food and beverage, service standards, and service etiquette
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and flatware
Ability to read, speak, listen, and comprehend the English language in order to communicate effectively to team members, understand reports and related correspondence, and accurately perform all essential job functions
Ability to perform essential functions in outside conditions while being exposed to the elements
Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions in the restaurant and banquet functions
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form
Alcohol Awareness Certificate
Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
Must work well with or without direct supervision.
Previous Serving experience
Positive interpersonal skills required.
