General Summary
- The Medical Staff Office Secretary provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the Medical Staff Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs clerical functions related to the Medical Staff Office to include but not limited to; filing, mailing, faxing, photocopying, and scanning of documents in an efficient, organized, and accurate manner.
- Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information in a professional manner.
- Greets visitors and clients to the department in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintains medical staff call schedules.
- Ensures medical staff documents are kept current and accurate on the Medical Staff intranet page.
- Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, works effectively with frequent interruptions, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.
Education
- High School graduation or equivalent required.
Work Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year secretarial experience with word processing software and computer operations experience required. Experience with medical terminology preferred.
Certification/License
Mental/Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in fact paced environment with attention to detail. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs.
