Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Plant Pathology or related field.
• Experiences in working with plant fungal pathogens.
• Ability to work in agricultural fields, with hot and humid weather expected during summer.
• Ability to drive a pick-up truck and travel to conferences and project sites, as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent writing skills, analytical skills, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong motivation and initiative, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications:
• Previous experience with small fruit crops such as strawberries.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting various greenhouse/lab experiments.
• Leading field trials to address the impact of grapevine canopy management on disease control.
• Managing/analyzing data and writing research manuscripts.
• Assisting in the preparation and writing of proposals and project reports.
