Position Objective
The Marketing Assistant supports multiple marketing functions within Houston Fitness Partners, including community outreach, events, and club communications. This role assists in executing marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, member engagement, and community presence across the Houston market.
Essential Functions
Community Outreach & Events
- Maintain accurate inventory tracking and distribution of promotional materials to support community events and activations.
- Coordinate and communicate event details to club managers and regional directors to ensure alignment and preparedness.
- Attend select community events to evaluate execution, gather feedback, and provide recommendations for future optimizations.
External & Member (Club) Communications
- Develop and deploy both standard and urgent messaging to current Planet Fitness members in the Houston area.
- Design marketing messaging for use across owned media channels, including in-club and digital platforms.
- Assist with the planning, execution, and deployment of email marketing campaigns.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- 0–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, events, or a related role (internship experience acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms and digital communication tools preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends to support events.
