Radiology Coordinator
The Radiology Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the staff to efficiently accomplish the departmental and hospital goals and objectives of providing quality patient/physician services.
- Must be a graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or regionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality.
- Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission, and ALARA standards.
- Five years experience in the Radiologic Technology Sciences and/or area of specialization required.
- Previous experience in more than one modality is required.
- CPR/BLS in accordance to Halifax Health policies required.
- Directs and supervises the duties of staff for their assigned section to efficiently accomplish the departmental and hospital goals and objectives of providing quality patient/physician services.
- Develop, monitor and adhere to annual budget and departmental goals and philosophy.
- Interview potential candidates and make recommendation for selection.
- Complete performance appraisals, counseling, discipline and recommendations for termination.
- Monitors the inventory of assigned sections supplies and ensures the integrity of use and distribution.
- Monitors the continuing education and status of certifications/licenses as required.
- Hold a monthly staff meeting to disseminate information promptly and attends Coordinator meetings/other assigned meetings as necessary.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Possesses knowledge and skills to care for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting.
