Working under the general supervision of the Assessor, this position will:
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
BS or BA from an accredited four-year college or university, preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related fields, OR significant, successful related work experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business media, professional journals, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, coworkers, taxpayers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a personal vehicle and related insurance.
Mileage incurred for attending speaking engagements in support of the Assessor will be compensated.
Must be qualified to obtain a Notary Permit.
Upon hire, obtain Certificate of Advanced Accreditation as provided for in Title 68 O.S. §2816.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, feel, or reach. They are also required to speak and listen. The employee is frequently required to move about independently. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. Employee must maintain a vehicle to drive, and is expected to work occasional evening and weekend hours outside of the office as required for Assessor speaking engagements and community events.
