Job Objective: The Production Planner is responsible for collaboratively working with others to plan and execute manufacturing build plans. The Production Planner will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and other functional areas as required to optimize customer order fulfillment and manufacturing efficiencies.

Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
Execution of daily production control tasks as assigned including creating and maintaining production schedules to meet customer and inventory goals.
Analyze sales orders within planning lead time ensuring material is available to fulfill scheduled orders, make recommended order changes based on material availability and/or capacity
Help with troubleshooting and dealing with exceptions to product flow, recommend solutions.
Initiates counter measures to resolve issues, develop capability, and ensure resolution.
Measures, and reports on, assigned KPIs.
Ability to organize and manage multiple conflicting projects.
Manage discrepant, excess and obsolete inventory to minimize inventory exposure.
Actively participate in, and lead, process improvements and projects.
Active collaboration with manufacturing support team in root-cause resolution of issues affecting SQDIPs.
Analyze and set inventory levels based upon the lean replenishment practices and/or associated enterprise software.
Full-time, onsite presence required.
Additional tasks as required.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or related field.
3-5 years of related experience in a production planning, and/or manufacturing environment.
Proficient with MS Office Products with extensive experience in Excel.
Strong, demonstrated working knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present information effectively in a team environment and successfully interact with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently with demonstrated self-initiative.
