The Solver Manager is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis (FP&A) initiatives, overseeing the implementation and optimization of Solver and related financial systems, and driving process improvements across the organization. This role combines technical expertise in financial modeling and systems integration with strong leadership and project management skills.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the deployment, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Solver and other financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Workday Financials).
Manage and mentor a team of consultants and analysts, providing training and guidance on best practices in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Oversee the integration of financial data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in reporting and analysis.
Develop, review, and revise business rules, calculations, and allocations within financial systems to support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, ensuring seamless operation of financial platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Lead financial analysis projects, including ROI, capital vs. expense, lease vs. buy, and resource allocation studies.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Represent finance in ERP implementations and system upgrades, participating in testing and stakeholder communication.
Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Support internal and external audit processes, maintaining strong control environments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial analysis, consulting, or related roles, etc.
Minimum of 2 years’ leading other team members on consulting engagements.
Proven experience with Solver, Adaptive Insights, Workday Financials, and other financial planning platforms.
Experience with ERP implementations and cloud-based financial systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
Solver Certified (preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders. Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities; experience managing teams and projects.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of internal audit, risk management, and compliance standards.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work from home while collaborating in person half the time.
