Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student researcher to support a faculty-led project examining the relationship between animal agriculture, climate change, and environmental communication. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to original research at the intersection of climate studies, communication, and environmental justice.
Responsibilities:
Conduct literature reviews on topics related to animal agriculture, climate change, and greenwashing.
Collect, organize, and analyze primary and secondary data (e.g., industry reports, media coverage, policy documents).
Assist with coding, transcription, and data entry for qualitative and quantitative research.
Help manage bibliographies and citations using Zotero or other reference management software.
Draft research summaries, memos, and annotated bibliographies for faculty review.
Support preparation of conference presentations, grant applications, and manuscripts for publication.
Attend regular check-ins with the supervising professor to report progress and discuss findings.
Requirements:
Strong academic record with interest in climate change, communication, environmental studies, or related fields.
Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.
Familiarity with academic databases (e.g., JSTOR, Web of Science, ProQuest).
Experience with citation management software (e.g., Zotero, EndNote) preferred but not required.
Commitment to ethical research practices.
Pay rate:$10.00 per hour
