Our Pension Specialist will be a part of our growing team in our Uniondale office. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite, in-office presence approximately 3 to 4 days per week. Please note that initially training will be onsite 5 days per week for the first few months of employment. 

Your Impact

  • Transmission of client communications which includes the annual data request package, annual reports, regulatory updates, annual participant fee disclosures and updates to plan fund menus for our client on participant directed platforms
  • Reconciliation of Client Broker Statements
  • Manipulation of Client Data in Excel
  • Facilitate the processing of Enrollments, Loan Requests, and Distribution Requests (Termination/Death/In-Service/QDRO/Hardship)
  • Maintain and update records and databases accurately and securely
  • Respond to client and participant inquiries regarding their benefits, options, and entitlements
  • Liaise with actuaries, legal advisors, auditors, and other third-party vendors.
  • Participant in pension plan reviews with advisors

Successful Candidate Will Have

  • 2+ years of experience in pension administration
  • Knowledge of defined benefit and/or defined contribution plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams/Access)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $51,800 - $90,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
