Position Summary
Responsible for performing independent organizational reviews of compliance
with internal policies and regulatory/legal requirements.

Education
Associate’s degree in Health Information or Bachelor’s in related field
Licenses and Certification
If Associate’s degree in Health Information, then coding and/or compliance
certification is required. Prefer compliance certification.
Experience and Skills
Technical Experience: 3 years
Physical Activities
Intermittent hand manipulation required
Intermittent lifting and carrying of 11-20 pounds which can be modified
Role Specific Responsibilities
o Participates in development of the Annual Work Plan.
o Provides support for answering the Compliance Helpline.
o Researches, interprets and applies relevant policies, laws, regulations and
contractual agreements in the performance of audits and investigations.
o Develops project-specific audit plans.
o Performs audits and investigations with focus on detecting and preventing
fraud and abuse.
o Analyzes sensitive, complex operations and business conduct allegations
in a confidential, objective, systematic and timely manner.
o Conducts interviews.
o Collects and prepares evidence and organizes documentation to support
legal proceedings, including depositions and/or working with law
enforcement personnel to prepare cases for civil or criminal actions.
o Identifies opportunities for internal control and process enhancements.
o Reports on audit findings, provides related education, and supports the
development of corrective actions for deficiencies.
o Presents verbal reports and status updates to senior leaders.
o Responsible for the production of periodic departmental reports and
database maintenance.
o Other duties as assigned.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
