Affinity Business Development Specialist (Veterinary-Focused)

We are seeking an Affinity Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for meeting the needs of assigned brokers and association(s), including but not limited to new and renewal application follow ups, handling broker questions and requests, policy status follow up and coverage review.

This role has an anticipated start date of January 2026.

Your Impact:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing agent/broker partners by assisting with new business submissions and service issues; facilitate the application and underwriting process with the agent/broker and the underwriters; follow up with the potential client when additional information is needed to complete the underwriting process.
  • Respond to broker requests for information, documents, and general association insurance inquiries.
  • Provide technical expertise in coordinating the inside service of new and existing clients through sales, account development, and problem solving in accordance with the objectives and procedures based on Pearl Core Values and Standards. 
  • Look for opportunities to drive operational efficiency within Pearl and to the outside brokers.
  • Take inbound phone calls from agents.
  • Track agent production, new business, and commission reports.
  • Follow up on leads – send, track, report, and review applications for pivot opportunities.
  • Review and approve marketing material request, process reimbursement requests (BDM/L&H Sales Manager to approve), and other administrative duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • 5+ years of insurance related experience that includes 3+ years of experience working with independent contractor agents, and 3+ years of experience working in customer service.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of life and health insurance coverages and rating concepts preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface effectively at all levels within an organization.
  • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license with a record of safe driving required.

Pay Range:

51,800 - 51,800 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
