TEAM LEAD SEED PROCESSING

Enza Zaden in Salinas, California is seeking a highly motivated seed processing professional to join our team.

What will you do?

As the Team Lead Processing for Enza Zaden, you will ensure the realization of the process to obtain a product that complies with specifications in quantity, quality, and costs.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing a high-performing team by leading, motivating, coaching, and developing assigned team members.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions and deciding to implement improvements.
• Implementation of new techniques in consultation with Process Technology.
• Management and monitoring of the quality management system (KMS) within the department, including development, implementation, and maintenance of work instructions.
• Active participation in and management of (multidisciplinary) (improvement) projects within the own department.
• Accountable for safeguarding safety within the own department and actively contributing to the general safety levels at Enza.
• In the role of Key User responsible for participation in (sub) projects regarding drafting of wishes and requirements regarding the software/equipment to be developed / configured, the testing and implementation of the new / adapted software/equipment, and the training of employees in the use of these.
• Translation of the Operations plan into concrete actions for own department. Continuous process analysis and contributing to process optimization.
• Working schedule, Monday through Friday, and regular Saturdays.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred but not required.
• 6 plus years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of managerial experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written is required. 
• The ability to speak and understand Spanish is highly desired.   
• Knowledge in the field of seed industry desired.
• Knowledge of industry-specific seed processing machines and procedures.
• You must possess a valid driver’s license and be an eligible driver under the company insurance policy.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally (10%).

Compensation & Benefits:

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the starting pay range and benefits for the position posted.  The compensation offered to the successful candidate depends on experience, skills, education, work location, and other objective job-related factors.

Starting Salary Pay Range estimated $76,400 - $89,000
