Job Specific Working Conditions:
Young Life Yucaipa and The Pass is a newly forming Young Life area, and we’re looking for a part-time staff person to help lay the foundation for vibrant, Christ-centered outreach in the growing Inland Empire communities of Yucaipa, Calimesa, Beaumont, and Banning.
The primary focus will be building and leading a dynamic middle school (WyldLife) club based in Yucaipa, forming authentic relationships with kids, and inviting them into life with Jesus. With the area still in its early stages, there is exciting potential for expansion over time — including the development of high school ministry and leadership pipelines in the years ahead.

Responsibilities:
Shepherd and Nurture Volunteer Team(s)
Recruit, train, and equip a community of volunteer leaders
Plan regular team meetings for encouragement, collaboration, and communication
Know, encourage, and evaluate volunteer leaders
Lead team in strategic planning, vision, and prayer
Direct Work with Kids
Plan and lead team for weekly club (outreach) and Campaigners (Bible study)
Visit campus or places where students gather twice a week
Ensure leaders spend time with kids weekly
Plan for and lead team for summer and weekend camping
Professional and Administrative
Collaborate with Young Life committee (adults supporting the mission)
Develop key relationships with adults in Yucaipa and the San Gorgonio Pass area
Contribute to the development of the area budget and work to maintain
Actively participate in staff events - training and fellowship, both local and regional
Complete Young Life training as assigned
Work closely with the supervisor to plan for ministry excellence
Qualifications:
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ
A passion for ministry in a diverse community
Ability to lead middle school and high school students spiritually
Young Life volunteer leader, student staff, or equivalent experience preferred
Proven relational and leadership skills with both kids and adults
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Willingness to raise personal financial support as assigned
Willingness to make a two-year commitment
Pay Info: $10,782-$11,428 annual salary for 10-12 hours per week
Raise financial support as directed and maintain good donor care practices.
Communicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners.
Actively engage in all three levels of contact work.
Lead a team to plan and implement a regular outreach meeting with excellence.
Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures and maintain professionalism concerning office hours, dress, conduct and time management.
Manage finances with stewardship, accountability and transparency using the mission-wide applications.
