All camps share a common purpose: creating an environment where Young Life staff bring Christ to life by creatively presenting the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Speaking clearly from the Scriptures, camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ, the nature of humanity, the work of Christ on the cross, the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.

Saranac Village is looking for a relationally minded and spiritually mature leader to join our team in the Camp Manager role. As the Camp Manager, you will lead the camp staff team as we seek to create environments where every guest, staff, and volunteer encounters Jesus Christ.
Saranac Village has a long legacy as one of Young Life’s premier camps, serving nearly 5,000 guests per year. Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate NY and overlooking beautiful Upper Saranac Lake, the community has an excellent small-town feel and plenty of opportunities for local involvement. The Camp Manager is responsible for ensuring the finest possible platform for the presentation of the Gospel and creating an organizational culture where all camp staff are supported and equipped in providing excellent camping experiences.
This position is a full-time, salaried position with benefits and acts as a servant-leader and team builder of 16 staff and 175+ volunteers and summer interns. The Camp Manager has spiritual leadership responsibility to focus staff on our purpose in Christ and our mission in Young Life. They act as a liaison between the camp, field staff and development staff. This role is responsible for stewarding all aspects of the $3M operating budget and reports to the Eastern Camping Coordinator.
Note: The anticipated salary for this position can range from $73,900-$100,990 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.

Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
