Your Role 

We are seeking a strategic, creative, and technically savvy Marketing Communications & Social Media Manager with a background in the chemical market or chemical distribution industry. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing marketing communications strategies and social media campaigns that enhance our brand presence, engage target audiences, and drive business growth.

You will work cross-functionally with technical teams, sales, and executive leadership to craft compelling narratives, manage content, and promote the HII portfolio of chemical products and services through traditional and digital media.

Responsibilities 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the chemical market or chemical distribution industry
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related technical field; MBA preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and effectively
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and take initiative as a self-starter
  • Experience managing budgets and working within financial constraints
  • Comfortable working across all levels of the organization, including with executives, technical experts, and external partners
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); ability to create well-formatted documents, reports, and presentations
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, and social media scheduling platforms preferred

Your Profile 

Education & Experience 

  • Technical writing experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory environments in chemical industries (REACH, TSCA, etc.)
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience collaborating with creative teams
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM, email marketing, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, etc.)
