As a frontline colleague, the Senior Analyst follows established procedures, works with high attention to detail, and ensures SLA-driven delivery of calculations, data updates, and member communication drafts. The role supports the wider team by completing assigned work efficiently, escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to high-quality member service.

Role & Responsibilities

Member Event Processing

  • Process routine pension administration tasks such as retirements, leavers, transfers, deaths, and member data updates.
  • Follow documented procedures, Scheme Rules, and calculation guidance to complete work accurately and on time.
  • Input and maintain member data across designated pension administration systems.

Pension Calculations

  • Perform simple calculations using automated and manual tools, under supervision.
  • Check own work carefully and escalate discrepancies or unclear cases to senior colleagues.
  • Ensure calculation outputs are aligned with Scheme Rules and internal quality standards.

Quality, Compliance & Controls

  • Deliver work with strong accuracy and adherence to SLAs, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Follow data security policies and maintain confidentiality of member records.
  • Escalate potential errors, risks, or issues in line with defined procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in pensions, financial services, shared services, or operations (freshers with strong aptitude may be considered).
  • Basic understanding of Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) pension concepts — training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and willingness to learn technical pension rules.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work with workflow systems.
  • Professional pensions qualifications (PMI) — not mandatory; training support may be offered.
