ABOUT THE JOB
Facilitate, develop, monitor, and report on health and wellness programs that complement the Health and Wellness Clinic. The Wellness Coordinator will present information about how to improve health, prevent disease, and modify health behaviors to individual patients through one-on-one health coaching, as well as to client groups. In addition, the Wellness Coordinator will serve to coordinate efforts among all client vendors to provide cohesiveness of services and to better engage the client population. He or she will also be responsible for creating and writing educational materials, conducting meetings, and planning informative, interesting, and effective challenges, campaigns, and programs. These duties are carried out for a specific client at its various locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in health education, health promotion, exercise science, nutrition, psychology, or other health-related subject and at least 2+ years of experience in developing, monitoring, measuring, communicating, and reporting on health- related topics and programs or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulations. Experience creating wellness program materials, particularly in employer-based settings. Experience working as a health and wellness coach or integrating wellness/fitness initiatives into the culture of an organization.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000/yr
The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
