We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Assistant within our Battleground Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in La Porte, TX.

Essential Job Duties:

· Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.

· Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.

· Support all safety and environmental programs, and Responsible Care guiding principles to ensure the facilities operate in a manner that protects the environmental and the health and safety of our employees and myself and the public.

· Process contractor requisitions for changes to site contractor personnel

· Generate reports from SAP& Workday to support backlog management and cost forecasting.

· Contractor setup and payroll related transactions.

· Generates contractor headcount reports.

· Maintain maintenance overtime records and develop weekly call-out schedule.

· Maintain and update MOC files.

· Provide assistance for HESS team and PSV Database owner.

· Coordinate, process and track supply orders and usage for maintenance and HESS operations, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely replenishment.

· Support Safety and Environmental Blanket Purchase Orders (BPOs) by preparing and submitting requisitions.

· Assist in planning and executing HESS (Health, Environment, Safety & Security) events, including vendor coordination, scheduling, and onsite logistics.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for landscaping, pest control and janitorial contractors, ensuring timely service delivery and addressing site needs or concerns.

· Assist in managing employee Tyndale uniform program activities, including ordering, exchanges, tracking usage, and liaising with the vendor

· Support the issuance and tracking of safety shoes and prescription eyewear benefits.

· Coordinate with employees and vendors to ensure compliance with PPE requirements

· Oversee vendor relationships for rug services (Cintas) and water coolers, including scheduling, issue resolution, and contract adherence.

· Support environmental compliance audits by providing organized, up-to-date records

· Support resident contractor labor invoice approval.

· Distribute site mail.

· Maintain maintenance vacation schedule.

· Maintain all bulletin boards and safety manuals.

· Attend monthly stair step meetings.

· Responsible for submitting expense reports for maintenance staff.

· Other clerical duties as requested.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum 5 years of administrative experience.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to read, write and speak in English.

· Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

· Ability to maintain confidentially in all aspects of the job.

· Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

· Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis

· High proficiency in Microsoft applications; strong computer skills.

· Good working knowledge of SAP.

· Physical Requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
