This position is responsible for performing hands-on daily inspections and maintenance, as well as the repair, removal, reinstallation, or replacement of park rides, buildings, and equipment on Story Land property.

We are currently looking for a:

 

Story Land Rides Maintenance Mechanic (Full Time)

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Roles & Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform daily inspection of amusement park rides, signing off on its safety & completion
• Troubleshoot, test, service, and repair amusement rides including, but not limited to the removal, reinstallation, and replacement of amusement ride parts
• General maintenance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair with minimal supervision
• Understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Circuits
• Comprehend blueprints and schematic diagrams and follow the manufactures guidelines
• Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lift, reach forks, excavators, and more
• Assist in the training of how to accurately operate the ride, possibly offering ride coverage for bathroom and meal breaks during peak season
• Snow and Ice removal may be required during winter months

Requirements

• 18 years or older with a valid drivers license
• Able to climb and work at heights in excess of 50 feet in hot or cold weather
• Capable of lifting 75 lbs and bending / squatting frequently, and working in confined spaces
