The Retail Merchandise Receiver/Processor host is responsible for preparing new merchandise for the sales floor, re-stocks store merchandise as it sells. They are also responsible for visual merchandising, inventory controls, cashier duties and quality controls.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Keep workspace clean and organized
    • Assist with preparing product for the sales floor by ticketing items, hanging clothing, and moving product between locations
    • Ensure product scans at the correct price
    • Restock product as needed
    • Occasionally assemble display units
    • Check in physical product deliveries against accompanying packing slips
    • Report any product damage or order discrepancies to the purchasing/receiving supervisor or retail manager
    • Be friendly and focused on guest experience
    • Be willing to work independently and as part of a team

    Education & Experience:

    • No education required
    • Previous retail or point of sale work experience is desired

    Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NH Child Labor Laws
    • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
    • Ability to comply with all uniform policies
    • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to be productive during slow periods
    • Able to maintain hygiene and personal appearance consistent with policies outlined in the host handbook
    • Able to follow daily tasks as outlined in the retail standard operating procedures.
    • Assist with trucks and deliveries when needed
    • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
    • Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders and be able to descend stairs
    • Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner
    • Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer or POS equipment
    • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 25 pounds

    Working Conditions:

    • Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities
    • Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions
    • Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents
