REPORTS TO: Director of Product, Design & UX   

PAY: $125,000 - $155,000/ salary + Bonus

CORE RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Contribute to and evolve the Yourgi design system, ensuring consistency and quality across platforms (Web, iOS, Android) for Yourgi and Yourgi Pro. 

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery and research through wireframes, prototypes, testing, and final delivery. 

• Design intuitive, accessible, and scalable experiences across web and mobile products. 

• Translate complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, user-centered solutions. 

• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, and interactive prototypes. 

• Conduct and synthesize user research including interviews, usability testing, and surveys to inform design decisions. 

• Advocate for accessibility, usability, and inclusive design practices across all experiences. 

• Lead design work on key initiatives, setting a high bar for craft, usability, and user empathy. 

• Partner with product managers and engineers to shape product direction and prioritize user needs. 

• Contribute to design best practices, processes, and team rituals. 

• Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders, grounding decisions in user insights and data. 

 Education & Experience: 

• 6+ years of professional experience in product design, UX, and UI, ideally within marketplaces, SaaS, consumer tech, or service-based platforms. 

• Experience designing for two-sided marketplaces, including supply and demand dynamics, discovery, and booking or transaction flows. 

• Experience designing for small business users, with a strong understanding of conversion, onboarding, and growth-focused experiences. 

• Tech, or service-based platforms. 

• A strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills. 

• Proven ability to lead design work from concept to launch in cross-functional, agile teams. 

• Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG). 

• Fluency in design, UX and collaboration tools such as Figma, FigJam, Loom, User Interviews, Marvin, Lookback, Confluence.  

• Experience conducting or synthesizing user research and usability testing. 

• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting work to cross-functional partners and leadership. 

• High attention to detail with strong visual and interaction design instincts. 

• Bonus: Experience in booking or two-sided marketplace platforms, especially those serving small businesses or independent providers or experience optimizing conversion funnels, onboarding, and retention for small business users.
