Why Work for Aurora?
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you the kind of person who sees a broken sprinkler head and immediately knows the system is bleeding out? Then you might be our next Parks Irrigation Specialist.
We're looking for a genuine Water Wizard. Someone who understands that our park's irrigation system is its critical, life-giving plumbing, and you'll be the master surgeon keeping it healthy. If troubleshooting complex systems gives you a satisfying puzzle to solve, and you treat water conservation like a mission, you’ll fit right in.
This isn’t just mowing grass; this is detailed, skilled work that ensures our green spaces thrive. You'll handle everything from scheduled maintenance to the unexpected "blowout" fixes, tackling repairs on PVC pipe from a half-inch right up to six-inch pipe. You need to be just as comfortable operating specialized equipment, like backhoes and trenchers, as you are performing minor electrical repairs or navigating our central control computers.
You are the expert who knows that a well-maintained irrigation system is invisible, and that’s the goal. You will perform sophisticated programming with central irrigation controls and maintain detailed records of operation and repairs. Sometimes, you might even act as a lead worker, helping to train the next generation of specialists. If you’re ready to be the calm center of the storm when the water system hits a snag, we want to talk to you.
