139The Supervisor, CV Holding, assists the Director with specific leadership tasks and functions within the CV Holding Area. The Supervisor has oversight and responsibility for timely coordination of prep and post care delivery for Invasive Care patients. The Supervisor assists leadership and educator in staff orientation and competency for the CV Holding staff roles.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides guidance, clinical expertise, and mentorship to members of the healthcare team while utilizing available resources to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Oversees and provides support to CV Holding Unit.
Collaborates with Invasive Care leadership for scheduling, staffing, and coordination of services.
Engages physicians in dialogue regarding scheduling of cases and patient care needs.
Participates in annual capital budget planning.
Provides oversight and leadership to CV Holding frontline employees, which includes aiding in performance evaluations and coaching actions as needed.
Education
Bachelor's Nursing (BSN) required
Masters Nursing (MSN) preferred
Experience
Minimum one year of experience in a leadership role preferred
3 years of Prep/Post Area experience preferred
Certification & Licensure
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in VA or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or a combination of both RT(R) plus (CI) required
A Registered Radiology Tech may be hired in this position
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved is required. *New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is required within 30 days of hire
Qualifications
Skills in planning, organizing, and managing complex functions and processes.
Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills through interventions with staff to provide quality patient outcomes required.
Must demonstrate good communications and interpersonal skills.
Competence in providing Prep/Post Procedural Care for patients and coordination of operations for staff.
