The Account Consultant is responsible for the marketing and placement of new business into the firm. Account Consultants work closely with Account Analysts, Account Managers, Risk Advisors and insurance company partners to quote and bind new business for designated accounts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for gathering the information and risk management recommendations for new business from both incoming prospects and referrals
• Delivers new business policies and/or binders as needed
• Maintains current and relevant knowledge of the insurance marketplace and act as an internal market resource and liaison
• Prepares proposals and coordinates the placement and marketing strategy for individual sale or with Advisor
• Transitions servicing of accounts to the assigned Account Manager and the Account Analyst team
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with insurance company partners and is responsible for knowing carrier requirements, guidelines and advantages
• Maintains regular cadence of communication with Advisors on pending prospects and marketing status
• Keeps management system current, documenting all marketing activities in accordance with established procedures so that all account stakeholders can access current status and history of accounts
• Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, the organization and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims
• Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership
