The Business Line Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm's insurance products and services. They will enter and track submissions, review quotes for compliance, and recognize cross-sell opportunities. The Business Line Leader will also liaise between the firm, brokers, clients, and insurance carriers, and ensure maximum use of proprietary products, services, and technology. They will stay up-to-date on industry trends and new opportunities, develop production reports, and determine renewal underwriting strategies. Additionally, the Business Line Leader will manage third party data costs for associated agencies and their locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enter into and track submissions utilizing the Underwriting and Policy Issuance System.
Visit sites to train colleagues on the new firm products.
Review terms and conditions of each quote to ensure they comply with our filed product and carrier agreements.
Effectively recognize and take advantage of cross sell opportunities.
Review quotes that require additional underwriting approval that did not pass straight through processing.
Prepare a detailed Coverage Summary template to accompany each quote.
Day-to-day liaison between the firm, brokers, clients and insurance carriers.
Ensure that use of firm’s proprietary products, services and technology are maximized for greatest return.
Keep up to date on industry trends, competition and new opportunities.
Develop production reports by location and review concentrations and PML accumulations within the book of business.
Perform a broad set of objectives and develop action plans to achieve those objectives.
Review and determine the strategy for surrounding renewal underwriting.
Track and manage third party data costs for associated agency and their location.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet broker, client and market expectations of service.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day to day.
Ability to travel up to 10% to visit BKS sites once a quarter.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business, Economics, Marketing or Communications field, or equivalent years’ experience.
7 + years agency and/or personal/commercial insurance experience. 3+ years of handling accounts within the insurance industry in an underwriting/account management role.
Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to master proprietary software.
P&C License Required
