Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) is a public two-year and four-year degree granting institution founded in 1909 by the New Mexico Constitution. NNMC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. NNMC operates from two campuses in Espanola and El Rito and serves an average of 1,000 students per semester.Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in a Humanities or Arts field. Experience in effectively working with ethnically and culturally diverse students in a higher education, counseling, or social service delivery setting. Teaching experience at an Undergraduate level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MFA or PhD Degree in a Humanities or Arts field. Experience in working with ethnically/linguistically diverse students in a higher education setting. Experience with online Learning Management Systems such as Canvas and online course development.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: In case the courses are canceled, the College will place the lecturer in another course in related disciplines. If that is not possible, then the Lecturer will be given a departmental workload relative to the credit hours missed, activities may include but are not limited to; assessment, recruitment, advising, assisting with department event coordination, or community outreach.
