Job Description Summary:
The Therapist within the Psychiatric Practices is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of therapeutic services. Therapist is responsible for delivering a full range of outpatient services. Therapist may also provide inpatient services as requested. Therapist provides services to individuals and groups impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. Therapist demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Therapist will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. Therapist reports to the Assistant Director of Adult Psychiatric Practices.
Education:
Must hold at least a Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
Licenses and Certifications:
Licensed in the State of Missouri in the areas of Social Work, Professional Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
