Position Summary
This position provides clerical and administrative support to the department. This position also provides support to the LCC students and staff in the nursing program.
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for data entry and management of required program documents.
- Coordinates, verifies and maintains staff and student records.
- Works with students and staff to maintain compliance with required documents.
- Provides information to clinical agencies.
- Coordinates department assessments and schedules proctors.
- Performs clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, photocopying, minute taking, faxing and maintaining records for the department.
- Runs office errands.
- Creates documents using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Assists in coordinating the admission process for the nursing program, enters criteria onto spread sheet, and verifies accuracy of admission criteria calculation on score sheet.
- Schedules and proctors entrance exams and refers students to the Student Success Coach for advisement after the exam.
- Participates in special school event and recruitment activities.
- Participates in scheduled staff meetings, strategic planning, and school wide initiatives: sits on various committees.
- Assists with nursing student orientation.
- Assists with course evaluations, graduate and employee surveys.
- Keeps department assessment data.
- Assists in scheduling courses each semester.
- Coordinates and posts classroom usage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL FACTORS
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The worker sits most of the time.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.
- The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES
- Associates degree is required.
- One to three years of experience providing direct customer service to students and/or office support is required or a combination of education and experience.
