The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 3 – 5 years of industry knowledge and experience working on tractors, trailers, and forklifts
- 3 – 5 years of management or supervisory experience
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere
- Experience and understanding of working within a budget
- Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
- Excellent multitasking and organization skills
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff
- Maintain efficient productivity levels
- Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget
- Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff
- Managing parts inventory
- General maintenance and repairs on company trailers
- Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards
