As a Counselor at Anabranch, you’ll be an essential part of the client’s treatment experience—providing support, structure, and guidance throughout the recovery process.
Core Responsibilities
Participate in treatment planning and collaborate on the continuum of care
Conduct group and family sessions (under supervision), documenting progress clearly and accurately
Co-facilitate therapy groups and assist clients with behavior modification and healthy coping skills
Complete initial and follow-up assessments to monitor client needs
Develop individualized treatment plans for each assigned client
Ensure timely, clear, and concise documentation for all aspects of client care
Serve as a liaison between clients and referral sources
Provide crisis intervention when needed
Coordinate aftercare planning to support long-term recovery success
Communicate with insurance carriers as needed
Provide case management, ensuring each client receives individualized, high-quality care
Identify client needs and make referrals to appropriate internal or external resources
Educate clients and families on substance use, mental health, and recovery support
Facilitate educational workshops within the facility and community
Serve as a liaison with self-help groups, EAP programs, and community providers
Assist in training and mentoring new clinical staff and interns
Support and guide other clinical and direct care staff as needed
