Responsibilities of Team Lead:

  • Ensures Team Members have the necessary tools to achieve daily, weekly, monthly production goals and complete necessary paperwork.

  • Work hand in hand with Department Area Coordinator, other TM’s and leaders from other departments and Management for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

  • Complete Stay Interviews.

  • Assist Area Coordinator with truss counts daily.

  • Complete truss schedules.

  • Operates as back-up for Area Coordinator.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Internal applicants MUST have 2 years of service with Clayton.

  • Internal applicants must have no Written disciplinary action in last 6 months.

  • Internal applicants must have a good attendance record (No more than a Verbal write-up on attendance at time of application).

  • Must have good communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Must have basic computer skills and a willingness to learn. DSI/Oracle experience is preferred.

  • Experience with lumber and forklift experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic. Displays a great attitude and models teamwork. 

  • Be self-motivated and take direction well.

  • Has the ability to lead, guide, direct and coach team members from various backgrounds, cultures, and personalities.
