POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Runner supports smooth service by delivering food from the kitchen to guest tables with speed and accuracy. Reporting to the expediter or Chef, this role involves organizing and garnishing plates, carrying large trays, and moving efficiently between the kitchen and dining area. Food Runners must be energetic, organized, and responsive to guest needs, while also assisting servers and maintaining stocked service areas. Placement will be based on location needs, skills, and experience.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $18-$20

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Organize and correctly garnish and compile food orders from kitchen
• Deliver food to tables with knowledge of table numbers and steps of service
• Carry large trays and balance 3+ plates at once.
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management
• Assist wait staff as needed
• Stock necessary supplies
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work in a face-paced environment
• Must have good organizational skills
• Lift approximately 30 pounds on a regular basis
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Adhere to all safety policies.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler and Allergy training certificate or must attend Food Handler and Allergy training certification courses for Alterra Mountain Company within 14 days of employment (provided).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

• Food and Beverage experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
