JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform professional chainsaw operations including felling, bucking, limbing, and brushing  

• Clear downed trees and debris from trails, service roads, lift corridors, and operational areas  

• Assist with summer trail maintenance, erosion control, and general mountain upkeep  

• Support storm damage cleanup and emergency response when needed  

• Conduct pre‑operation inspections and routine maintenance on chainsaws and related equipment  

• Follow all resort safety protocols, industry best practices, and applicable USFS guidelines  

• Work collaboratively with Mountain Operations, Lift Maintenance, and Trails teams  

• Document completed work and communicate hazards or operational concerns to supervisors  

• Other duties as assigned in support of summer mountain operations 

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

• Seasonal summer position (typically June–September, weather dependent)  

• Full‑time hours with potential for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime  

• Outdoor, high‑elevation mountain environment
