The Advanced Practice Provider Behavioral Health works in collaboration with the physician in the outpatient or inpatient settings providing care for the behavioral health patient population.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Works in consultation/collaboration with physician. Assesses and evaluates patients, H&Ps, consults, writes orders and interprets diagnostic tests, discharges, etc. Promotes quality outcomes and initiatives. Must have a standard care arrangement SCA or Supervisory Agreement SA with a physician in like practice. Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her SCA/SA and delineation of privileges.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree (Required)AANP - American Association of Nurse Practitioners - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, CNP - Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, CNS - Clinical Nurse Specialist - National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing

Additional Job Description:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Must have a current APRN license to practice from the Ohio Board of Nursing and maintain this licensure from State Nursing Board of Ohio. Must have current Certification and maintain this Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC, AANP)

OR

Must have a current Physician Assistant License to practice in Ohio and maintain this from the State Medical Board of Ohio. Must have and maintain a current Certification from a national certifying body (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) and maintain this Certification
