We’re currently seeking a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about geriatric care and committed to helping residents achieve their best possible health outcomes.

Position Summary:

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for overseeing the nutritional care of residents in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies. The RD works closely with the interdisciplinary team to assess nutritional needs, develop and implement care plans, and ensure residents receive optimal nutritional support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments on all new admissions and re-assess periodically

• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans

• Monitor resident intake and weight changes; make appropriate recommendations

• Participate in care plan meetings with interdisciplinary team

• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations including MDS and RAI processes

• Provide in-service education to staff as needed

• Collaborate with food service staff to ensure meals meet dietary needs and preferences

• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required

• Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of CA, if applicable

• Previous experience in long-term care or SNF setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of MDS, care planning, and regulatory compliance

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
