Ridgeway Post Acute is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Staff Development (DSD) to step into a temporary, limited-term role to support an immediate operational need. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strong, hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly engage, support, and elevate clinical staff.

What We’re Looking For:
We need a leader who can step in confidently, inspire excellence, and strengthen staff performance in a short timeframe. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and action-oriented—someone who builds trust quickly and partners closely with nursing leadership to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee staff development, education, and competency programs
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal training requirements
• Conduct new hire orientation and ongoing in-service education
• Actively round on the floor to support, coach, and mentor staff
• Collaborate with the DON and leadership team to improve clinical outcomes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and competency records
• Serve as a visible, supportive resource across all departments

Qualifications:

• Active LVN or RN license (state-specific requirements apply)
• Prior experience as a DSD or strong clinical leadership background in a skilled nursing/post-acute setting
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and staff engagement
• Ability to step in quickly and make an immediate impact
