We are looking for a Senior Therapist to oversee, lead, supervise, and participate in a multidisciplinary team of providers and staff to ensure timely and quality pediatric outpatient and early intervention services are provided to clients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise members of the assigned team, including but not limited to, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, etc.

  • Manage team utilization data and assist with coordinating team case planning, scheduling, and compliance needs. Lead team meetings and coach providers & staff through process improvements, managing utilization, and case load management.

  • Provide advice and clinical supervision to therapists treating clients within the Senior Therapist’s practice area within the Children’s Therapeutic Services Department. 

  • Maintain a reduced case load leading to 45% utilization that includes leading evaluations, assessments, IFSP related services, as well as pediatric outpatient clients. These visits will take place in the family’s home, in the clinic, and other natural-care settings. Support patient and family needs by writing IFSPs with team members, families, and outside agencies, as well as completing progress notes and providing service coordination.

  • Partner with the Director of Children’s Therapeutic Services on change management, utilization efforts, and other items as needed. Write, deliver, and manage performance evaluations for assigned staff and therapists.

  • As needed, clinically supervise the RPTA, COTA, and any SLA staff in regard to client care. Attend staff meetings, case conferences and other meetings as assigned. Represent supervisor in meetings as applicable.

  • Actively increase job knowledge by participating in staff development, educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years’ experience working with children and/or adults as an occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, board certified behavior analyst, or similar.

  • One of the following education qualifications listed below based on the provider’s therapy background:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, or its equivalent, from a recognized college or university. For those earning licensure prior to 2007, a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy, or its equivalent, from a recognized college or university. For those earning licensure prior to 2016, a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.

  • Master’s Degree in Speech or Communication Disorders (depending on license).

  • Master’s in Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Psychology, Special Education, or related field, as well as earning & maintain the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.

  • Master’s in Mental Health or Social Work.

  • Current license by the State Board, if applicable.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and proficient in change management.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday – Friday.

Compensation: Based on experience, qualifications, and provider specialty.
