Job Description:

As a Procurement and Grants Intern with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, you will gain valuable work experience in projects related to contracts and grants. Experience may include federal rules, best practices, developing training, documenting workflows, reviewing procedures, and administrative management of grant and contract portfolios.  There may also be opportunities to work with service and commodity procurements.

  • Assist with processing invoices.

  • Provide funding updates and manage related workflows.

  • Develop core item lists, supply chain analysis, contractual terms and conditions, and policy and document organization. 

  • Procurement transactions for goods and/or services range from standardized products and services to those of moderate complexity.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution) OR recently graduated (within one year) from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university (two-to-four-year institution).

Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in business, finance, public affairs, or public administration.

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
