Job Description:

Are you looking for meaningful, FLEXIBLE work where you can make a difference? BSDC is hiring On-Call Developmental Technician I positions—perfect for those seeking a flexible schedule and hands-on experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

 

Walk-In Interview Event:

Where: Beatrice State Developmental Center (BSDC)
When: Friday, October 17
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
No appointment necessary!

All candidates must be a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with an active license in the state of Nebraska.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

• Assist with daily living, skill-building, and personal care

• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment

• Work as part of a compassionate, collaborative team

What You Need:

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs regularly

• This position requires proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the language effectively.

Important Notes:

• On-Call positions are temporary and do not include state benefits.

Our standard training schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, but we understand that flexibility matters. We’re now offering adjusted training options to better accommodate your availability!

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age, and possess a valid driver's license.

Other:

• Positions classified to this class may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and blood and airborne pathogens such as TB, HIV and Hepatitis.

• Incumbents are required to have the ability to lift, bend, push and/or pull 50 pounds on a continuous basis to assist clients in meeting their needs and maintaining safety within the home.
