Job Description:
This position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some flexibility. Some evening and weekends may be needed due to the nature of EMS.
In-state travel is required with occasional overnights due to work travel distance.
The primary job location is in the Nebraska Southeast EMS Region and applicant must reside in this region or in counties immediately surrounding the region. This position is considered a field position. The office location is open to being located at a DHHS facility or potentially at a home office.

This position will be to function under limited supervision to perform the following examples of work:
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as an EMT, AEMT, or a Paramedic in Nebraska OR training in the armed services as a medical technician or higher level health science professional (such as Paramedic, LPN, RN etc.) is required AND Two or more years’ experience in planning and / or providing EMS operations and / or services.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of: emergency medical services, healthcare facilities, infection control, preparedness, statutes, rules and regulations governing Emergency Medical Services in the State of Nebraska, policies and standards of the department; federal laws; and state emergency medical services protocols.
Ability to: provide technical assistance, education and training; conduct unbiased inspection of emergency medical services; effectively communicate; plan and coordinate statewide, regional, or local emergency medical services program(s); maintain records and analyze statistics; maintain effective working relationships; understand, interpret and apply statutes, rules and regulations; and plan and lead group meetings. Facilitation to solve problems; reading comprehension; active listening; and judgment/decision making.
Skill in: interpreting rules, regulations, and guidelines, leading organizations and teams, organization planning, inspections, infection control, and preparedness.
