Job Description Summary
The Health Simulation Technician will be responsible for maintaining policy and procedure manuals and developing data collection and management procedures. The position will also be responsible for researching, coordinating, and maintaining technology in virtual reality, artificial intelligence, human patient simulation, and course delivery technologies.Job Description
Review and update mission statement, goals, and governance structure for the FVTC Health Simulation & Technology Center.
Develop and maintain data collection and management system to ensure student satisfaction of simulation experience.
Assist faculty with process and outcomes improvement initiatives.
Prepare accreditation materials and ensure compliance with Simulation Center Accreditation. Ensure completion of data collection and annual reports.
Participate in all aspects of simulation including operation, maintenance, and expansion of simulation space on all campuses.
Maintain simulation lab, proper usage, and full functionality of simulation and division technology and equipment.
Maintain expertise in existing and emerging simulation and virtual reality technologies, best practices and disseminate this base of knowledge to faculty, business and industry, and students.
Support and work with faculty, college simulation trainers and programs to develop and present scenarios to students.
Assist students with virtual reality, AI, and simulation remediation experiences.
Orient new faculty/students/staff to simulators and simulation lab policies and procedures; develop and enforce simulation lab policies and procedures.
Assist with developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and protocols for simulation in collaboration with Dean, Associate Dean, supervisors, simulation trainer and faculty.
Facilitate inter-disciplinary educational opportunities between program students utilizing simulation spaces.
Maintain warranty information and renewal dates on all simulation equipment, schedule routine maintenance for simulation products.
Attend, assist with, and participate in college, division, and department meetings and events relevant to position.
Develop, coordinate, and manage interdisciplinary simulation events sponsored by FVTC.
Operational support for business and industry contract work, including training outside agencies on equipment operations.
May have functional supervision of student employees.
Assist students and faculty with simulation and technology access for skill and competency development.
Assist with simulation delivery during complex simulation scenarios or during training sessions for new faculty and or simulation operators.
Assist with business and industry contract development, space rental, and resource attainment for contracted courses within the simulation center.
Provide tours and/or demonstrations for health division events, partnering agencies, and business and industry inquiries.
Works with IT and other support services to ensure division compliance and support in complimentary support services.
Support college wide simulation and technology advancements by partnering with other divisions and departments.

Additional Information
Pay Rate: $27.47 - $32.32 per hour.
Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation guidelines.
